This four night class is designed for photographers to learn not only the aesthetics but the nuts and bolts of mounting, matting and framing photographs.  Students are expected to bring 2 photographs (one 8x10 and one 13x19 or less in size).  You will cut a simple mat for the 8x10 and then move on to a complete finished piece with the larger image.  The class begins with color theory and learning the possibilities for framing.  Then we will select colors for mat board and coordinating metal frame.  The balance of the nights will be spent dry mounting the image, cutting mattes, cutting the glass and assembling the frame to make a finished piece ready to hang.  The value of this class tuition is still less than the price of taking even one photo to a frame shop and hiring them to frame your image.
