This two-hour lecture is open to attendance by photographers, models, and all general artist such as painters, sculptors and musicians.  Michale Fluhler is a noted attorney specializing in the practice concerning Intelectual property and patent law. He and Bryce will help you understand about when the artist creates a work of art; who owns it. Michale will talk about what can be copyrighted and what can not be copyrighted and then how to do it.  Learn about writing and using a contract with your client to state who owns the artwork at the completion of the project and if there is or should be a liscencing agreement of its continued use. Learn about when and why you may need a model release or a release involving buildings in the background of your photo or image. Learn about self-created, employee created and work for hire images and who owns the copyrights after.

Bryce will have a short demonstration on how to download your images so that each image can be protected from unscrupulus pirates from stealing your image by imbedding copyright information in the metadata of your image file. Then after a breif discussion about the merits of putting a watermark or a copyright symbol on the face of you image (or not); we will open the floor to a question and answer session.  Light Refreshments will be provided.  Admitance is by a donation or two or three cans of food to be donated to Gleaners to help feed the needy.  Seating is limited to the first 50 people who pre-register. (Since this event is basically free, we expect to have a full house).
