  • This one-day workshop will cover techniques used to create fashion photographs similar to those in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Glamor, Vanity Fair, etc.  Depot Town is a quaint area of Ypsilanti, populated with a number of antique shops and local cafes.  The main attraction is a train station complete with a caboose and various loading dock pieces that make for wonderfully rich shooting backgrounds.  Learn about the use of reflectors, syncro-sunlight fill flash, posing and many techniques to rev up your photographic style.  Model(s) are included.  Midwest Photography Workshops uses only models who epitomize the essence of high fashion style. Meet at Aubrey's Restaurant 39 East Cross St. Ypsilanti, MI. in parking lot behind the restaurant 10:00 AM.

    Model is Olivia Schultz

Students are expected to bring: camera with ample media cards, wide angle and telephoto lenses, tripod and a lens hood for each lens.  Just like you go to a restaurant, it is common and appropriate to give your waitress/waiter a tip or gratuity, such is the case here. You are welcome to provide a gratuity to your model at the end of a successful shoot.
