This workshop is for the Lightroom user who is looking to get more out of this powerful tool for photographers. Learn about smart previews and the free mobile app that will allow you to take your catalogs with you. We will look at the tools for moving images between catalogs and file locations to further refine and update your organization and workflow. Take your use of keywords to the next level with keyword sets and learn how to update and sync those keywords. Then, we will explore using curves and other tools in the develop module to improve your images and streamline workflow. Discover the power of smart collections and much more.

Learn where to find and install the increasing number of publish services and export API’s that allow you to connect Lightroom to sites, service and locations on the internet. Lift your editing to a higher level and efficiency with all of the various tools in the Develop Module.

You will have the opportunity to create a custom watermark and learn how and when to use it.

Finally get a look at using different options for catalog and image storage to protect your digital assets and make them accessible from multiple locations.

This workshop is for some who has been regularly using Lightroom for a minimum of 6 months. Students should plan to bring 10 to 12 images to use during class.  Students are invited to bring in their own catalog and image files; either on a laptop or external drive to use in this workshop.

Just as a reminder; all digital editing classes are held at our new Southfield campus located at 29260 Wildbrook Drive. (just east of Telegraph and just north of 12 Mile Rd.) Midwest Photography Workshops maintains a bank of 8 computers in our computer lab, but students are welcome to bring in their own laptop computer if they wish. In the event a student desires to attend any of the 200 series of classes a second time, they may do so at a fee of 1/2 of the original course tuition.
