This course is designed for photographers only.  Although Photoshop CC is a deep and powerful program, we will focus on tools & techniques that photographers will use. Its benefits are immediately accessible to the motivated beginner given its most user friendly features first, and show the correct path going forward.  Students will be guided to improve images to yield maximum impact, detail, and technical quality in an efficient and nondestructive manner.  Class size is limited to 8 students, so that a small student/instructor ratio ensures maximum individual attention. Even though we have 8 desktop computers for students to use; students are encouraged to bring your own laptop to work on in the class.

The workshop begins with a brief theory session in which concepts are introduced and discussed.  This is immediately followed by computer lab time where students are provided with customized Photoshop exercises to demonstrate the theory behind making great images.

Photoshop is the most powerful photo editing software available, but it is not for everyone.  MPW assumes that students have basic computer skills and photographic experience/knowledge like how to make, open and name a file.

A bonus USB thumb drive will be given to each student with images to practice the concepts learned in class.

Just as a reminder; all digital editing classes are held at our new Southfield campus located at 29260 Wildbrook dr. (just east of Telegraph and just north of 12 Mile Rd.)

In the event a student desires to attend any of the 200 series of classes a second time, they may do so at a fee of 1/2 of the original course tuition.
