This five-day class is for youth aged 10-15.  Students will have instruction on basic camera operation, and fun field trips to Greenfield Village and the Detroit Zoo to provide them with an opportunity to practice their new skills.  The first day of class is held in our state-of-the-art Farmington Hills classroom, learning how the camera works - including shutter speeds and f/stops - with enough instruction on composition to make the field trip the next day to Greenfield Village successful.  On Wednesday, students will learn to download the images from their cameras and media cards into the computers and perhaps make some prints (Southfield Campus).  At the Detroit Zoo on the following day, (Thursday) they will receive more instruction on successful shooting.  Students will return to spend Friday in MPW’s state-of-the-art computer lab in Southfield (to work on their images and learn how to bring the images to completion as a print or suitable for publishing on a web page or social media).  Parents are welcome to join us for the two field trips.  Students are welcome to bring in a point and shoot digital camera or even a DSLR including the new mirrorless cameras.  If you do not have a camera, contact us.  With enough advance notice, we might have one available for your use.  This is a fun and informative class. Cell phone cameras are not sufficient to accomplish the tasks of camera adjustments

Lunch, Transportation and admission to the Detroit Zoo and Greenfield Village is not included.
