This five-week, nine-session class includes at least four field trips. This is a MASTER CLASS! It is intended for photographers desiring to stretch their creative boundaries of technique and experience. In this class you will start with a review of the master street photographers; who they were and the vision that they brought to this unique genre of photography. People like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bruce Davidson, Robert Frank, Gary Winogrand, Wee Gee and Vivian Maier. Warren Cureton will lead discussions about the ethics of Street Photography from model releases and what you can and can not photograph. Students will learn about the technical aspects of Street Photography from the gear that is ideally suited for this style of photography to the aesthetics and what constitutes a good sense of vision and composition. Guided field trips include: Detroit's Eastern Market, Detroit's Campus Martius Park, a day of Urban Decay and a Festival.  Field trips are subject to change according to the students needs and desires.  Students will have access to the MPW computer lab and film scanners should they prefer to shoot with film as compared to digital cameras.
