As a society, we are bombarded with visual images.  They can inform, persuade, entertain or mislead.  Often a caption is included to clarify what the viewer sees.  Text with an image from a historic fine-art point of view has often been discouraged until the last 20 years or so.  Since then, the photographic fine art community has embraced the inclusion of text.  This six-week class will explore not only the historic inclusion of text with photos but assist in the creation of new and relevant personal images which include text.  Students will work both individually on their photographs and in concert with others in the creation process.  Text with photos is incredible.  Text can bring humor, innuendo, sarcasm, emotion, and truth.  Learn how to maximize the impact of text in your photos.  This is not an entry level class.  Students are expected to already have a command of shutter speeds and f/stops and to have a working knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom skills.
