This MASTER CLASS (six classroom sessions and five field trips)  provides the opportunity to photograph architecture from a variety of different types and styles.  Students will be taught to photograph and stitch a panorama photograph which can be used as an interior or and exterior subject matter.  Students will also photograph church architecture from the interior and exterior, including the iconography relevant to the ecclesiastical nature of that church or synagogue.  We have arranged access to a major municipal building, a private residence, and we will do at least one exterior dusk shoot as part of this class. MPW will also provide a field trip to various abandoned building in Detroit to photograph building now past their prime as Urban Decay. As in all of our Master Classes, the goal is to provide instruction and shooting opportunities leading to the creation of a professional portfolio.  To this end, MPW students will learn about the history of architecture and to recognize the salient points that make striking images of architecture which includes reducing distortion from wide angle lenses. MPW will also provide the use of and demonstration on tilt/shift lenses.

Field Trips include other MPW workshops such as #243 Panorama Stitching, #222 HDR, #611 Church Architecture, #609 Faces and Places at Eastern Market and #601 Urban Decay.
